  1. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the 2022 BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year award on 5 March, 2023.
  2. NTPC, the country’s largest integrated power generating company, commissioned India’s first Air-Conditioned Condenser Supercritical Plant at North Karanpura, Jharkhand on 1 March, 2023.
  3. The Indian Navy on 5 March 2023, successfully test-fired in the Arabian Sea the ship-launched version of the BrahMos supersonic missile from Kolkata-class guided missile destroyer warship.
  4. India’s top triple-jumper Aishwarya Babu has been banned by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA)’s disciplinary panel for four years for using a prohibited anabolic steroid.
  5. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that two Australian universities Deakin University and University of Wollongong will be the first foreign education institutions to establish campuses in Gujarat’s GIFT City.  
  6. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) organised the 8th edition of the National Conference on Economics of Competition Law on 3 March, 2023 in New Delhi.
  7. Department of Social Justice and Empowerment signed an MoU, with the Prajapati Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Mount Abu in New Delhi on 4 March, 2023 for spreading the message of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
  8. The ‘Swachh Sujal Shakti Samman 2023’, organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti to honour the women champions of rural water and sanitation sector, was graced by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
  9. On 4 March 2023, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that Mauganj tehsil of Rewa district will be the 53rd district of the state.
  10. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and four Sikkim ministers on 6 March, 2023 released a unique cover of the Department of Posts, ‘Go Green, Go Organic’ for Sikkim.
  11. Pankaj Gupta has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pramerica Life Insurance Limited. He will succeed Kalpana Sampat, who was the previous MD and CEO.
  12. Uttar Pradesh Government on 5 March 2023, announced to waive road tax and registration fees on the purchase of Electric Vehicles (EVs) to promote electric vehicles.
  13. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya released the book ‘India’s Vaccine Growth Story – From Cowpox to Vaccine Maitri’ authored by Shri Sajjan Singh Yadav, Additional Secretary, Govt of India at the World Book fair 2023, at Pragati Maidan.  
  14. The second Environment and Climate Sustainability Working Group (ECSWG) meeting will be held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat from 27 to 29 March, 2023.
  15. INS Trikand is participating in the International Maritime Exercise/ Cutlass Express 2023 (IMX/CE-23) being held in the Gulf region from 26 February-16 March, 2023.
